AMATEUR PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY

On Wednesday evening at 156 Lamblon Quay an extremely interesting lantern lecture on Ceylon was given by Mr. T. Ladd, an ex-member of the Royal Engineers, who formed one of the party that made tho discovery of buried cities which lived in tradition, but were not believed to have existed. Mr. Ladd dealt with the people, customs, and natural history of tho island, his remarks and stories being illustratedbr magnificent slides. On November 17 .Mr. Ladd will give his second lecture and will deal with the wonderful mountain city of Kandy, slides being shown of tho marvellous workmanship of tho ancient temples and buildings. All interested aro invited to be present.
