Mails for Australian States clos® at Bluff, per Wimmera, on Thursday, November 4, at 4 p:m. Lato letters for mails beyond the Dominion cannot in future be posted on the steamer, but must bd posted in the lateletter posting-box at the Chief Post Office up to the appointed timo , shown on the mail notice. The advertised time for closing mails by steamers are liable to alteration (earlier or later) at any moment. The parcel-post mall, per Main Trunk express, closes at the C.P.O. at 11.30 a.m., and for tho south, per ferry steamer, at 5.45 p.m. ■ Parcels for dispatch by steamers and trains, witli the exception of the usual ferry steamers for southern offices, close at the Chief Post Office, Wellington one hour before the advertised time of closing of mail?. As . the last clearance of the'city receivers'is made at 5.45 p.m. on Saturdays, all correspondence for the Sunday night Auckland express must be posted' at the Chief Post Office not later than 8 p.m. on Sunday. All books and samplc-jiacltots end newspapers' for places within tho Dominion must be posted half, an hour before the ordinary letter-mail closes.
