DOMINION CONTROL. ' Tho annual meeting of tho New Zoaland Tennis Association was held _ last evening. Mr. 11. M. Goro presided, und thuro wero thirteen othors present. It was stated 'that the 1915 championships would not be held. The gathering was to have taken place in Wellington. it was reported that £78 Jiad 1 been raised by tho association for tho Dominion lielief Fund. The following officers were elected:— Patron, His Excellency the Governor ; president, Mr. H. M. Gore; vice-prcsi-dents, Messrs. A. A. Martin (Auckland), George L. Berry (Canterbury), John Connolly (Marlborough), It. C. Tennant (Southland), G. H. Pownall (Wellington), H. S. Nicholson. (Otago), Dr. _H. B. Leatiham (Taxanaki), the president of the Hawke's Bay Association,. tho president of the West Coast Association; vice-president of the Australasian. Association, Mr. H. M. Gore; delegate to the English Association, Mr. A. E. Beamish (London) ; delegates to the Australasian Association, Messrs. V. H. Baxter, Ross Gore, and C. T. Metcalfe; Management Committee, Messrs. H. M. Gore, M. E. Denniston, A. G. Henderson, D. Murray Kean, G. F. Smythe, M. F. lnstono, and R. N. K. Swanston; auditor, JJjr. F. 0. Austin; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. J. Petherick. On the motion of Mr. Barry Keesing it was decided that those present should form a committee to co-operate with Mr. Howe and the secretary in arranging a tennis tournament to. provide funds to assist the sj)orts bodies' movomont to procure Christmas gifts tor New Zealand soldiers at the front.
