S.M., liekl an inquest yesterday afternoon into tho circumstances connected with t'lie death of a young married woman, named Ada Caroline Dormer, 31 years of age, wife of Charlos Francis Dormer, who was found hanging at lier residence'afc 49 Hanover Street, "\Yadesfcow-i. The evidence showed that deceased had been in poor health for some years, and had been for a time an inmate of a mental hospital. The Coroner returned a verdict of suicide, whilst temporarily insane. RESTORED TO LIFE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, October 28. A man named John Wills, a ship's carpenter, who arrived from Napier, slipped on the wharf and fell into the harbour. One of the crew of the tug Awahini saw the body floating. It was recovered. Life was apparently extinct, but artificial respiration resulted in consciousness being restored. '.Hie man was conveyed to the hospital ; where his condition is slowly improving. KILLED AT A RAILWAY CROSSING■ Dunsclin, October 28. Frederick Williams, 5b years of age, residing in King Strcot, was lulled at Rattray Street railway crossing this evening. The train was being shunted over tho crossing at n very slow pace preceded by a pilot, the deceased apparently attempted to pass round tho train, but struck the guard's van and fell between the rails, the body being rolled a littlo distance by tho brake gear. Williams was terribly injured about tho head and body, and was dead when pickcd up. SUICIDE BY DROWNING. Auckland, October 28. Joseph Clark,"aged 50, of Auckland, employed as a labourer on tho Waillku railway, was found drowned in tho Waitangi Creek. Jlis throat was cut, and also both wrist.. A vcrdict that deceased drowned himself while temporarily insane through the result of alcohol was returned at the inquest.
