PALMERSTON NORTH PATRIOTIC SHOW
Entrios for tliis great event- are now* finally closed, and indicato a higlily successful show, provided tlie weather is good. Always a great centre for purebred cattle, Palmerston Show Grounds will this year, it is stated, have a display that lias not been approaclied in the colony, and the new cattle pavilions will lie well opened. Some constant exhibitors have not been able to show this year through lack of labour, but'other new ones have stopped forward. Tho A. and P. Association and Patriotic Committees are working well together, and preparations are well forward. A very big attendance is looked for as an acknowledgment for the patriotic spirit of tho association. Tho show opens on Wednesday next, closinf: each evening at (5 p.m., but. the patriotic fair in tho Machinery Hall will remain open until Ifl p.m. oacli evening, finally closing on Tridar, November o.
