THE BASIN RESERVE
OLD FENCE TO COME DOWN
The Wellington City Council resolved last evening: "That the City Engineer bo instructed to proceed with the improvements to the Basin Reserve by re. moving the present fence, and also carry out general improvements as provided for in what is known as the modified scheme, ancl according to the plan previously agreed to by the council, and that the sum of &ioo held m trust hv the council for the Citizens Carnival Association be used towards thyost of S, The'ci r iairman of the Reserves Commifctee (CVmncillor G. Frosfc) stated that the work for tlio present would consist of the erection of a new fence, which (iu order to widen the road) would encroach on tlio present plantation.
