WEAPON FOR IN-FIGHTING
A THREE-BLADED DAGGER By Telejiaph—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, October 23. Captain Brownell, of tie Worcestershire Regiment, who was wounded in Flanders, and has been appointed to the staff at Duutroon College, states that everyone on tlio Western front is now armed with a three-bladed dagger, with ia wooden grip like the top of a shovel. One blade protrudes between the fingers, and on either sido protrudes another longer blade. With the frontal blade one drives straight forward; with the others one can _etab- backwards or uppercut. It was splendid for in-fight-ing. Ho doscribes a number of new types ia expensive high explosives, and most destructive bombs, adding: "Britain is now tho paramount Power as far as bombs and hand-grenades are concerned. Wo have a number of surprises in these lines up our sleeves, and will shortly spring them upon the foe."
