WHERE TO GO AND WHAT TO SEE. Given fine weather, there should be no lack of opportunity for extracting the fullest enjoyment from to-day's Labour holiday. Arrangements for the trades procession and sports at Newtown Park are now complete. Entries for the procession are numerous, and include a practical demonstration of sheep-shearing. Starting from Waterloo .Quay at 9.30 a.m., it will proceed by Jervois Quay, Cuba Street, Vivian Street, and Kent Terrace to Newtown Park. Sports will commence at the Park at 11.30 a.m. The proceeds are to be divided between tho Mayor's Patriotic Fund and the Trades Hall building fund. A special time-table for ferry steamers across the harbour has been arranged by the Eastbourne Borough Council. Then there is the carnival to bo hold at Petone recreation ground. Matinee and evening shows are announced by the picture theatres; there will be an recital by Mr. Bernartl Paec, and at the Grand Opera House, "High Jinks" will be indulged in'by tho Williamson Comic Opera Company.
