Many casualties liavo been reported among swimmers, who, at the time of their departure from New Zealand were active members of the club, and amongst othors who have been connected witli the club during recent years. A list is attached of members who are serving the jimpirc in different parts of the world, and also a list of those who were members during former yeans, and who have gono to do duty for their country. "Charlie Sinton, who joined tho club last season while training at Trentham, and who swam so finely for us in tho Walker and Hall Cup competition, has given his life for his country. By his quiet, unassuming manner and manly qualities he endeared himself to us all. Wo aro sure.that ho died as he lived — a gentleman and a sportsman.

, "Len. who learned his 6wimming' at Thorndon baths, and who more recently followed up the sport in Wanganui, was killed while doing his duty. Our sincere sympathy is extended to his father, who, while in Wellington, took a keen interest in tlio club. '

"H. W. Kirkwood, D. Higgie, Len. Donovan, Joe Wareham, N. Middlemas, and J. C. O'Lcary have been wounded. Our best wishes go out to them for speedy and complete recoveries. ' "Condolences are'tendered to Mr. T. S. Konaldson, upon the death at Gallipoli of his son Brian, who , used to enjoy a swim at Thorndon baths. It is 'libped that his son Stanley noil bo blc-ssed by a complete rccovory from tho wounds he has received. . ■ •.

"We extend to tho Wellington Club our sympathy upon the death of Lanco Bridge. All swimmers hope that J. Gosling, who is posted as missing, will bo found alive and well at tho conclusion of tho war. He would, be sadly missed in the swimming world. "Congratulations are extended to the Swifts Club upon the gallantry and resource displayed by "Tiny" Freyborg, a member of their club.

"Dr. Anderson, a vice-president of our club, has departed for England, ond his services have been accepted by the authorities at Homo. We wish him good luck and a safe return.
