ARMY AND NAVY EXPENDITURE Bf Telegraph—Press Association— Oojyrlßlit ■ Washington, October 14. President Wilson has approved the Elans of the Secretary for War (Mr. lindley M. Garrison) to increase the Army at a cost of £36,000,000. The Naval Department .is asking for £40,000,000 for additional battleships. A large portion of the Army expenditure is intended for coastal batteries and defences.
