Totals 1,124,559 953,066 171,492 For the corresponding month of last year the total figures were: Deposits, £837,818; withdrawals, £734,353; oxcess of deposits, £103,460. Sir Joseph Ward stfid h© considered these figures highly satisfactory, as allowing that there was an increase of money in the country available for local investment. He believed that other institutions accepting money, on deposit were also receiving ail excess of deposits'over withdrawals.
