■ . A pleasant time was spent at the Sailors' Friend Society last night, when a.programme was provided by Miss Fathers and party. Competitions.were held at intervals. At the close a hearty vote of thanks to the performers was moved by the Missioner (Mr. Moore), and. .responded to by Miss Fathers. Items were given by. Misses Martin, • Fathers, Chappie; Orewea, George, and Lawton, Messrs'. Reeder and French, and Bevins (Turakina).
