STAFF f/HANGES.
The following promotions in the Fire Brigade service, rendered necessary on account of the resignation of the deputysuperintendent, were approved by the City Council last evening Third Officer, Mr. Robertson, to be appointed deputy-superintendent (eleven years'service). ' - . Station Officer Mr. Nation, to be ap>pointed aotiug" third officer for six months (five and a half years' service). Station Officer Mr. Clark to bo appointed senior station officer (five and a half years' service). Senior Fireman, Godwin to be appointed station officer (seven years' service, three years, as horse-driver). This will leave a vacancy in the ranks of senior firomen, for which an examination will be : held and the successful candidate appointed.
