XMAS CHEER FOR SOLDIERS
CRICKETERS' EFrORT. ; At last evening's meeting of the Wellington Cricket Association it was reported that the following team would represent Trentham Camp against Wellington on Saturday:—-Lieuts. Hunter, Saxon, Berhau, and Sneddon; Dempsey (n.c.0.), Sergt. Cameron,. Corpl. Naughton, Ptes. H! Bennett and Sandman; D. Hawkes and H. E..Ridley; emergencies, Ptes. C. W. Bannerman, A. <R. Bevins, F. Hawko, and A. Smith.
The. following will represent Wellington:—W. S. Brico (captain), W. A. Baker, E. M. BeechejyW. T. Bray, H. E. Burton, A. Oate, W. E. L. Gibbes, J. S. Hiddleston, F. A Midlane, C. Robinson, and T.'R. Southall.,. The match is being played in aid of tho Christmas Cheer Fund for the men at tho Dardanelles. During the afternoon tea-interval an exhibition of bayonet fighting will be given by men'from Trcntham.
