He thought that if a mail had varicose veins below the knee he could stand the strain very well. Mr. Allen: The matter has been looked into more than oiice; and I feel hound to consider tho advice of General Henderson.

Mr. Allen said that all men with varicose veins wore not rejected. Some were asked to have them removed. Ho added that the matter was not being lost sight of.

Mr. T. A. H. Field (Nelson) asked ui© Minister if lie would lay beforo General Henderson a letter from a committee of Nelson doctors, pointing out the absurdity of the restrictions. . The Minister agreed to do this.
