PRESS TELEGRAM CHARGES
HEAVY INCREASES.
The newspapers of | the Dominion are heavily hit under the new scale of charges for Press telegrams set out 'in a supplement to the 'New Zealand Gazette issued yesterday. The increases in the rates range from about 33 1-3 to 100 per cent.; but the charges on the bulk of the messages will be at the higher figure". How far these increased charges will affect the news services supplied to the public by the Press of New Zealand remains to be seen.
