TRENTHAM DEFEAT 'ATHLETIC. A Rugby team from ths Trentliam Military Camp appeared at Athletic Park on Saturday to try conclusions with tlio season's senior championship winners, Athletic. Though not at full strength, the Athletic team was nevertheless a good one, and it was rather a surprise that tho Trentlianr representatives should liave won by 11 points to 10. In tho first half Athletic led by 6 points to 3. Soon after resuming, the soldiers took the lead by 8 points to G, but a potted goal placed Athletic in front again by 2 points. Finally a penalty goal gave tho Trentham team a lead of a point,_ and, though hard pressed until the finish,, they maintained this advantage. For tie winners, Wilkinson scored a try, and Stubbs converted tins and kicked two penalty goals as well. The Athletic score consisted of an unconverted try by Blackmore, a penalty goal by S. Wilson, and a potted goal by Church. Mr. J. Jones was referee.' '
