PACKET RATES FOR PRESENTS. By arrangement with the PostmasterGeneral of Egypt, tlie Postmaster-Gen-eral (Sir Joseph Ward) has provided the means of sending Christmas comforts and presents to our soldiers in Egypt. < Provided the .whole package as prepared for the post does not exceed too.weight.of lib., he will.accept at sample packet rates packets containing articles, of saleable value addressed to soldiers in Egypt. This means that packets which transit Egypt, as, for instance, those for the hospital at Malta, may also be posted at the.same rate. The weight must be carefully respected, as • no exceptions will be permitted in Egypt. Any package weighing more than lib. will have to be paid for as a parcel. The sample packet rate is Id. for tho first 4oz. and $d. for each additional 2ozi
