FIRE BRIGADE REUNION
Members of the Wellington Fire Brigade and Fire Police held a reunion at the Central Station on Wednesday, tho occasion being the "wind up" of the card tournament' conducted by the Fire Police at tho -various Wellington stations during tho year. The Mayor (Mr. J. P., Luke) occupied tho chair, there being a lareg attendance. Prizes for the winners of the tournament were presented by the Mayor as follows: — Fire Police: Lieutenant J. C. 'Cusack, Messrs. Ogben, sen., F. Ballanger, A. M'Kenzie,. and Reynolds. Fire Brigade: Superintendent Tait, Firemen Godwin, Nugent, Jones, Kjer, aud Ogben, jun. Service medals and badges were also presented, by Mr. Luke as follows Station Officer F. Grint, one bar, marking nine years' service; Station Officer H. Nation, medal, marking five years' service; Station Officer T. B. Clark, medal, marking five years' service; Senior Fireman N. Galbraith, certificate, marking three years' service. Firemen J. Lloyd, certificate, marking three years' service, and W. E. Biggs, bar, marking seven years' service. Fire Polico: Lieutenant J. Short, medal, marking- seven years' sendee.
