Mr. Baldwin, Mayor of 1 Lower Hutt, presided i-at a, meeting convened for the purpose of forming a Boys' Club in the Hutt Valley. : It was decided to affiliate <• with the Wellington 'Boys'; Cricket league; -The election of officers resulted as. follows Mr. T. M. Wilford, M.P. ; president, Mr. H. Baldwin; vice-presidents, - Messrs.' ICitto, Burns, I ,A Aldersley, Halton, V. Riddiford, W. G. Foster, H. Williams, E. L. Bunny, and • Wagg; 'ion. secretary, Mr." -E./ R, Burns; hon. treasurer, Mr. G; Liisty; Management Committee, Messrs. T. Lazarus, C. Baumbeiy H. Pole, K. Baumber, and .Tenner. It was . decided to enter at least, two teams, and to commence tlio season with a -challenge matcli,. .toj he played on October 16.

BOYS' LEAGUE. Mr. - W. Walton, presided at the annual meeting of. the Boys' Cricket League held oil Tuesday evening. Tho election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Dr. A. Izard; president, , Mr. W. Walton ; vice-presidents, Messrs. Eglin, M'Kenzie, Laws, Varney, Kingand Baldwin; secretary, ; Mr. F. M'Clusky; treasurer, - Mr. F. Graliam; committee, . Messrs. F. Thomas, Ridlcr, Bell, -Lazarus, and Fifegerald; auditor; Mr. Mabin. •. ; : Votes of thanks were passed to the outgoing officers,- the City (Council (for the use of grounds), and:the Y.M.O.A. Board, of Management (for the use of rooms). .A 1 resolution was al«j-passed ' thanking Mr. R. Hornblow (who has enlisted) for his services to the league; eleoting him a life member of the league, and wishing him God-speed and a. safe return. • . . ■ In a match against Upper 'Hutt. at tho . Lower Hutt" on Saturday the Hutt team will be chosen from the following: —Aldersley (2), Glennie, Hughes, Hollis, Judd (2), Kitto, M'Bain, Neazor, Ohgley, Patlon,-and Stiles.-' •.
