IN DIVORCE

AN UNDEFENDED PETITION. Before His Honour the Chief Justico (Sir Robert Stout') on Saturday, Alice Jane- Fisheuden petitioned for dissolution of her marriage with/Walter Austin Fishenden, farmer, of Langleydale Station, Waihopai, near Blenlieini. Mr. 0. C. Mazengarb, wlio appeared for the petitioner, led cvidencc to show that tho parties were married in April, 1901, there being two children of the marriage. Respondent had deserted his wife in January, 1904, and divorce, was now sought on this ground. There was no appearance of the respondent, and His Honour granted the usual decree, to be made absolute in three months. Petitioner was awarded costs, and granted interim custody of the children.
