The prospects of the coming season were considered excellent. WELLINGTON CENTRAL CLUB. The annual general meeting of the Wellington Central Criiket Club was hold last ovening at the Y.M.O.A. Mr. S. Hickson presiding. ' The annual report made mention of the number of men who had gone to the front, and.also to the number who had left Wellington. . Although the club had consequently to withdraw the third eleven, the members worked strenuously,. aud the club, the report states, acquitted itself veiy creditably. 'The bal-ance-sheet 'showed a credit balance of £1 Ms. !)d. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr.. A. A. George; vice-presidents, Messrs. Abercrombie, Allan, J. Blundell, Kinvig, Bragg, Patrick, O'Brien, Bnrbidge, C. Hickson, Thurman, Stockbridge, Hood, M'Giiire, D. M'Keuzie, and.Simtn; club captain, Mr. A. Patterson; hon. secretary, Mr. H. E. Burton; treasurer, Mr. J. Lowe; committee, Messrs. Schlaadt, Robinson, Lake, A. Wilson,- and Dind; delegates to Wellington Association, Messrs. Burton, Hood, and Schlaadt; auditor, Mr. L. M. St. George. Mr. AY. S. Hood was clected a life member. A presentation of a gold medal was made to Mr. H. E. Burton by the chairman, on behalf of an anonymous donor, for making the highest score during the season —176:
