LAWN TENNIS
At the annual m.eeting of the Petone Tennis Club the balance-sheet showed a credit of £'64 ;7s. 3d. A motion of sympathy was passed to Mr. R. C. Kirk on the'death of his son whilst serving -iie Empire, and it was decided to ilace a Roll of Honour board at the club's pavilion. .
It.; was intimated that the ' seascr would open on October 9. The election of officers resutfcad as follows: —President, Mr. R. C. Kiri : vice-presidents, Mr. J. W. M'lSwan ai;d Dr. Ross; secretary, Mr. B: 'Austin: treasurer, Mr.. L. Andrews; general committee, Messrs. R. Fox, V. Galvcr, A. G. Duncan, Misses Bennett, and .Walton; selection committee: Messrs! Austin, Parkinson, and Wilkinson; ladies' committee, Misges Cochrane, Walters, Bennett, Naughton, and Mrs. Evison; delegate to association, • Mr. Austin.
