Mr. Lloyd George, replying to the Coventry Labour Committee's denial that tliey circularised workmen regarding rapidity of work, quotes the letter signed by the secretary of the committee calling the attention of fellowworkmen and non-workmen because they finished in 8} hours' a job on a howitzer which normally took 31J hours. "This was a regrettable instance among many in which war-workers had been discouraged for assisting the country to their utmost in its hour of need."-
