The National Advisory Committee had a conferanoe with 250 trade unionists connected with the munitions output. Mr. Lloyd George (Minister of Munitions), in a. lengthy speech, urged the acceleration of the concrete'proposals drawn up. •' DISCOURAGING WORKERS CONCRETE CASE QUOTED ! (Rec. September 17, 10.55 p.m.) London, September 17. Mr. Lloyd George, replying to the Coventry Labour Committee's denial that tliey circularised workmen regarding rapidity of work, quotes the letter signed by the secretary of the committee calling the attention of fellowworkmen and non-workmen because they finished in 8} hours' a job on a howitzer which normally took 31J hours. "This was a regrettable instance among many in which war-workers had been discouraged for assisting the country to their utmost in its hour of need."-
