Mason, Lord Robert Cecil (Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs), said that Germany had not made any proposals for peace. He could not at present imagine any proposals which could be ei tert-ained at the moment by the Allies, and no consideration could be given to any suggestion of peace oxcept for joint action by the Allies, and in pursuance of our treaty, obligations to them.
