"Ir. J. S. Day, ex-presicient of the Christcluii'cfi Accountant Students' Society will act in the capacity of judge in this competition. principal'business of the evening was a lecture delivered by Mr. A. W. DTair, solicitor, entitled "The General Principles Governing tho Law of Contracts." The lecturer dealt in a very exhaustive manner with his subject, and cifen the ?eading English and New Zealand cases to emphasise his points. The lecture was made particularly liwid and interesting by the humour introduced by Mr. Blair, and he was accorded a vote of thanks.
