.WELLINGTON RACING CLUB,

ANNUAL REPORT. The annual general meeting of members ?if -^ ellin Kton Racing Club will be Held on September 30. The winter meeting had to be abandoned owing to the occupation of the racecourse buildlngs by the military authorities. The following ofiieer-bearers retire in accordance with Bio rules, and all are eligible for re-election Mr. J. B. Earcourt; vice-president, Mr. C. P. Skerrett; stewards, Mr. J. G. Duncan, Dr. H. A. H- Gilmer, Mr. Neil M'Lean, and Mr. Eric Riddiford. Nominations for office-bearers and notices of motion must be lodged at the office of ihe club before 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 16. The Government tax on tho three meetings held amounted to .£6826 15s. Bd. ; War funds, etc., amounted to i£1170; the sum of .£IB,BOO was paid in states; salaries amounted to .£1487 18a.; maintenance and improvements, ,£2967 3s. sa. Totalisator reoeipts amounted to .£25,617 18s. 2d.; gates, is.; railway, £1083 95.; members' subscriptions and entrance fees, iS99O 35.; nominations and acceptance, ■£4857; privileges, race books, etc., .£1194 ss. 6tl.
