'A German communique states: "There has been lively artillery fighting on the greater part of the Western front. Our minings in tho Champagno District and the Argonne greatly damaged tho enemy trenches. ' "Hostile airmon yesterday morning bombed Ostend, but neither did damage nor caused casualties."
