The rectification and'adjustment of their line is still proceeding at certain points, but at other points, particularly in tho south, in Eastern Galitifa, the enemy is being effectively dealt with, at heavy loss. The fighting m tho Western theatro seems to be confined to artillery duels, grenade encounters, air "bombardments, and-mining. A big battle is pending in the Austro-Italian 'theatre, where the enemy has been massing heavy reinforcements for the conflict which is to decido the fate of Gorizia and Tolmino. ' Fighting is proceeding on Gallipoli, but the. reports do not indicate the progress of a formal battle. Fresh ground lias been gained. - Mr. Lloyd George's war speeches have been collected and published in book form, with an author's preface, , which strikes a istem and uncompromising note of warning to the British natioii oil the danger of relaxing the individual and collective concentration of its effort, for the destruction of German militarism.
