CONSIDERABLE ADVANCES MADE. By Telegraph—Press AraMiation—OopyrijhJ London, September 11. - The Naval and Military Pensions Committee recommends considerable advances in the pensions of disabled officers and officers' widows, orphans, and dependents. The new scale applies to the present war only. The rates for widows of navy lieutenants,. sub-lieu-tenants, army lieutenants, and second lieutenants has been raised to the existing rates for army, captains. Tlie pensions of disabled junior officers of both services will be increased according to the degree of disability.
