In connection with_ the_ Government's proposed military legislation the following resolution was passed at last night's meeting of the Wellington branch of the Social Democratic Party: ''That this meeting unreservedly condemus_ tho Fusion Government's attempt to inflict conscription on New Zealand . as evidenced by the industrial conscription clause of tho Expeditionary Forces Bill and the coercive clauses of the so-called National Register; and that we pledge ourselves to offer every resistance to any attempt to Prussianise New Zealand in the worst military sense."
