WOUNDED FROM THE FRONT
WOODVILLE MEN'S RECEPTION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Woodville. September 13. The returned wounded soldiers got a groat reception to-day. Included wero two who came back in the Willoclira. The town was dressed in bunting, and the ba'nd and a number of Defence reserves joined in tho procession. Patriotic speeches wore delivered by the Mayor, the chairman of tho county, Mr. Escott, M.l'., and several citizens. 'Hie meeting carried a resolution of sympathy witli those Woodville people who had lost boys at tho front. Corporal M'Leary, ono of the wounded men, returned thanks for tho welcome in a splendid speech, and exhorted all able to go to enlist at once.
THE MASTERTON SECTION. (Prom Our Special Correspondent.') • Masterton, September 13. Six wounded soldiers returned to Masterton yesterday. The town was gaily dressed in bunting, and business places were closed for a couple of hours. A procession of several thousand people marched through the .town, headed by tho Brass Band and tho Wairarapa Caledonian Pipe Band. Tho Mayor and Mr. G. R. Syltes, M.P., gave addreses of welcome, and cheers were, subsequently given for the returned troopers, the men in Gallipoli, and His Majesty the King.
