For the past three days the Supreme Court has been occupied in the hearing of-a claim for £1000 damages by Mrs. Alice Meehau against Diok and Flyger, a contracting firm._ Tho action is <i sequel to a fatal accident which occurred to plaintiff's husband while engaged by defendants in lifting a house by means of jafcks. Tho jury found that defendants were guilty .of negligence in carrying cut the work, and awarded plaintiff £600 damages.
