REPORT GIVES CONSIDERABLE OFFENCE. (By Telegraph—Special Correspondent.) . Napier, September 10. A report on the state of health of. school children in the vicinity of Napiermade by Dr. Gunn is causing much comment, and owing to the alleged sweeping and sensational statements made therein the Education Board has deferred consideration of it. Referring to tho Napier West School, which is situated in a district whero a largo majority of the people own tho houses tliey- reside in, the report com-, ments on the high percentage of cases of malnutrition, and says this school, is largely comprised of mOre 01* less "undesirable children." It is quite certain that Dr. Gunn will be asked to define what is meant by "undesirable children." Many other, statements liavo given offence.
