BOTHA V. HERTZOG By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Cape Town, September 9. The elections campaign is in full swing. Practically all tbo seats are being contested.' Tho main figbt is between the Botliaites and tbo Hertzogites. Tbo latter, are opposing all Botha's candidates and Botha- supporters aro contesting all tho Orangia seats, which hitherto have been regarded as overwhelmingly Herfzogit-e. A feature of the campaign is the number of candidates who served in tbo higher ranks against the Germans. The Bothaites appeal for a majority over all parties, thus emphasising South Africa's Imperial obligation. The Unionists offer to give full support to the Government.
