" THE POSITION AT GALLIPOLI. By Telegraph—Erees Association-Copyright Adelaide, September 9. • Referring to Colonel Springtliorpe's statement that there was no Red Cross depot at the front, Lady Munro-Fergu-son states that she recently received a letter from General Bird wood to Colonel Barrott, in reply to the tetter's request that Red Cross goods might bo sent to the Dardanelles, that it would be impossible to start a depot in the present circumstances, as there was no corner of the'position available. Sinoe'that letter goods are being landed. on the beach, and the soldiers get-them if tho cases .are not blown to pieces.'
