AVhile no official statement has been made on tho matter, inquiries made among officials of the Records Office indicate that the opinion is held that the majority of these men who arc listed as hospital aiid convalescent cases aro men whoso relatives and friends are not residents of New Zealand and to whose, nomes therefore they cannot go. Therefore, they must be kept under the control of tho militate department and proper accommodation found for them. A minority of the listed cases of courso must go tq special institutions because they require expert 'treatment. :It is now assumed that practically all the men on the Tahiti not rpecially listed are in a condition to proceed to their own homes, and the military officials are making arrangements accordingly. RECEPTION ARRANGEMENT S LANDING AT 3 P.M. TO-MORROW* The Tahiti will berth on the eastern side of Glasgow Wharf at 3 p.m.. The wharves and approaches between the Oustoni-hous© and the King's T\harf will be blocked to all traffic except that in connection with the landing of the returned troops. The public will bo admitted to tho King's Wharf, access being by way of Waterloo Quay, before 2.30 p.m.' , ' . Motor-cars for the conveyance of re- , turned troops to tlie Town Hall will be drawn up along the western side ot the Glasgow Wharf and along the breastwork between the Glasgow Whaif and the Custom-house. Vehicles which cannot be accommodated as above will bo drawn up along the eastern side or Customhouse "Quay, _ access-to the breastwork being, pbtauied between tho Custom-house and TJ Shed. Owners or drivers of vehicles desirous of approaching tho King's Wliarf after 2.30 p.m. should procced thereto via Tnorndon. Quay, Davis Street, and. Waterloo Quay. • • -it i The route of the procession will he from the Glasgow Wharf to Waterloo Quay; along Waterloo Quay, Bunny. Street, Lambton Quay, Willis Stieet, Maimers Street, and Lower Cuba Street to the Town Hall. Vehicular trafho along and across the route will bo suspended from 3 p.m. until the procession to the wharf and tho Town Hall will be lined by troops, also tho intersections at Cuba and Manners Streets. Manners and Wilis Streets, and Willis Street and Lambton Quay. That portion of Cuba Street opposite the Town Hall, between Mercer Streot and Wakefield Street, will be closed to all general traffic. t - .. . , The procession will be marshalled 03. Inspector Doyle of the City Corporation Tramwav traffic will bo suspended in Lambton Quay, Willis_Street (between Manners Street and Lambton Quaj) Manners Street, Lower Cuba Street, and Jervois Quay, from 3 p.m., until the procession has passed, ior further details see spccial tramway, traffic notice in .tho daily Press. Tho sth Regunent Band, the Trentham Band, and the Salvation Armv Band will assemble at the Glasgow Wharf. The Salvation Army Band will play.appropriate music at,tho head of tho wharf as the vessel approaches, and immediately prior to berthing. The procession will be led by tho sth Regiment Ba.nd. The Tientiiam Band and Salvation. Army Band will bo given positions m the procession. All bands will, be conveyed on motor lorries. , , , After the whole of. the returned troops have, reached _tlio Town Hall, the owners of motor-cars aro requested to assist in tho return of tho troops to the vessel. In order that this may bo done without confusion, such vehicles are to form up along Wakefield Street (facing east) and Mercer Streot (facing west). Cars are to turn into Cuba Street to the main entrance to the Town Hall from Wakefield Street. Tho Offioer Commanding the Wellington Regiment (Major Simm) has issued the following order respecting to-mor-row's reception to the wounded soldiers: "Tho battalion (less D Company), with band and drums, will parade in Hunter Street East at 2 p.m. D Company will proceod to Lambton Station by the train arriving there at 2 p.m., and' will immediately march to Post ' Offieo Souare. There they will join the battalion. The parado is compulsory, and will count as a half-day parade in thai Drest; -Drill otder.
