A' euchre party and dance, to form tho nucleus of • a fund to provide little comforts for troopers unable to disembark, was held last evening in the Scottish Society's rooms. The function was a great success and will provide the ladies with the necessaries for their visit'to tho Tahiti on her arrival. It is the intention of the committee to take _ up a street collection on Saturday in order that future boats may be treated in a like manner. It must bo clearly understood this fund refers only to thoso, unable to attend the civic function.
