FATAL FALL DOWN STAIRS. (By TalcsraDli.—Prow Apwclottcm'..Auckland, September 6. Mr. Alexander J. Mitchelson, eldest son of the Hon. E. Mitchelson, died in tlie Hospital to-day from injuries to liis head sustained by falling down some stairs about a week ago. He leaves a ividow and a young family. FALL FROM A LOFT ENDS FATALLY. Whangarei, September 7. Thomas Greig, aged 36, a married man with two children, was killing rats in a hayloft owned- by Mr. L. Cossill at Tangiteroria, when he fell through a trapdoor, yesterday evening. He died after admittance to Whangarei Hospital. SHOOTING FATALITY. m, , Auckland, September 7. _ The body of Mr.'Harry Needham was found at Titirangi. The deceased had a bullet wound in his left temple, and a gun was in close proximity to the body when found. He had left his residence yesterday to .go rabbit shooting, and had not returned last night. A party ■ as formed and a. thorough senroll made. The body was found this morning, the circumstances pointing to an accident. RAILWAY EMPLOYEE KILLED. Palmerston North, September 7. A fatal.,.railway, accident occurred here to-day, when a railway employee named Walter Galliclian met his death by being; run over by some railway tnicfe9.;-_ No 'ono witnessed the accident, and it is ; impossible l to obtain particulars of how the .-ame occurred. Three trucks passed over'tlie man practically severing. his right arm and leg and crushing tlie. instep' of his. left foot. The man -was. immediately removed to the hospital, where lie expired at 6.45 p.m. The deceased was of middle age, and leaves a wife and two young children. He was prominent in Druid circles. ■, . •
