_< PRESENTATION OF PRIZES. - Medals ( prizes, and certificates gained in the Trinity College of Music examinations, 1914, were presented last night by His Esoelleiicy trie Governor (the Earl of Liverpool), who was accompanied to St. Andrew's Schoolroom by Her Excellency the Countess.' 'In.the unavoidable absence'of the Hon. A. L. Herdmah, the chair -was taken by Mr. Leon Cohen, the local secretary. A, concert- programme was arranged for the evening, and the following contributed :—Song, "Orpheus With His Lute," ■ and song, "where My Caravan has Rested," Master Pankhurst; piano solo, "Valse Chromatique," Mfss Viola J. Turner; piano solo, "Peasant Dance," Miss Elsie Turner; and piano solo, "Impromptu in E Flat," Master Mac Mackay. At the conclusion cf the function the crowded audienoe gave a hearty round of applause for Their Excellencies, and in a few words the Governor voiced his pleasure at being able to attend, and expressed the hope that the prize-winners would-gain, further honours in the future. '
