S.S. OSTERLEY IN ENGLISH CHANNEL. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyiisht Fremanile, September 2. The officers of the Osterley, which has arrived: from; London, state that an hour .'after' leaving Tilbury ' the vessel was ordered to shelter at Margate,.owing' to Gorman mines in 'the. Channel. The steamer remained the night, and on ■proceeding in the morning saw a dark object ahead. The patrol boats fired and exploded a mine. Great relief was felt when the Osterley was clear of the Channel.
