Smythe, of Palmerston North, took place on August 23 ,at St. Peter's Church, Palmerston North. The bride, .who ' was given away by herfatlier, wore a gown of ivory charmeuse and lace, with bridal veil and orange blossom. She was attended by her sister, Miss Violet Smythe, who wore white ninon, with belt of roso du barri velvet, and black and white hat. Both tlie bride and bridesmaid carried shower bouquets. Mr. Sidney Harrison, of Fcildiiig, acted as , best man. Tho service, which was fully choral, was conducted by the Rov. W. F.- Grovo, vicar of Hunterville, formerly of Palmerston North. After,- a reception, held at the residence of the bride's parents, ■ the bride and bridegroom left by thb New Plymouth express for Wellington and elsewhere. The brido's going-away dross was of biscuit-colour-ed cloth, worn with hat to match. Wedding at Napier.
