PATRIOTIC FUNDS
QUESTION OF ADMINISTRATION . .In the Legislative Council yesterday afternoon the lion. A. T. Maginnity asked the Leader of tho Council —(1) Whether the Government will inquire as to the funds collected in the various parts |of tho Dominion for patriotic purposes, awl the .amount-thereof ? (2) The particular objects for which the said funds wc-Te collected? :('i) How are tho said funds at present held and administered? (1) Whether tho Government will introduce legislation with the view of providing for the appointment of « § hoard of trustees to whom shall be committed the custody and ccuti'ol of such funds, kind tho administration thereof? > The Hon. Sir Francis Bell said tlip> the question of the administration of tho funds collected, in different parts of the Dominion was at present receiving the consideration of the Governmoat.
