SOUTH WALES MINERS' DISPUTE
MR. RUNOIMAN'S DECISION. fly Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright ! _ London,-August 23. It. is officially announced that Mr. Runciman's promised decisions on various deferred points connected with the South Wales coal trade agreement have now been issued. They consist of newly-drafted clauses specifying an accelerated method of procedure to settle 'differences and to prevent .disputes: also defining the new July standard, which, with 10 per cent, added, becames the minimum. The procedure is defined for bringing_ before the board or independent chairman any matters considered, as factors bearing upon the general wages question. MINERS DISSATISFIED. (Reo. August 25, 0.40 a.m.) ' London, August 24. The South Wales miners are gravely dissatisfied with Mr. Runciman's award. Sir.; Hartshorn considers that the exclusion of enginemcn, stokers, and other classes of workmen from the bqrius benefits is a vital blunder, and renders agreement impossible. : , . '
