GERMANS' EXPLOITATION OF RELIGION
PAN-GERMANISM IS ANTI-OHRIST. Paris, August 22. The 'Bishop of Nice will shortly publish a manifesto entitled "France and Germany in the Light of Christian Doctrine." The Bishop says lie speaks, as a representative of Christianity, and ■wishes to enlighten the Roman Catholics of neutral countries who are the dupes of Germany's exploitation of religion. He brings against Pan-German-ism' a charge of idolatry, and argues that Roman Catholics placing themselves in the tow of Pan-Germanism have totally forgotten the gospel _and the Church's teaching. France has been respectful of the rights of individuals and the smaller nations. .
