SAFE BLOWN OPEN
ROBBERY AT MIRAMAR. .. It was reported yesterday that oil Saturday night a robbery of a. kind not common in New Zealand of late yeara was committed at Miramar, when the safe and strong-room at the waterworks tbere were forced by the use of an explosive, and the contents stolen. Tho safe was blown to pieces, and tho strong-room wrecked, and also praotically reduced to fragments. The amount of money which was iri the safe was £20. • . . The police state that it is quite as, number of years since tho clumsy; .inetliod of blowing safes open has been employed in Wellington.
