manoeuvred, bringing the 'Austrian near a waiting Italian submarino. Tho two submarines almost mot bow to bow, under tlie water, and then tho excitement began. "The Austrian fired her torpedo, grazing the Italian. Both manoeuvred under-watoi' for an hour and a half, the Austrian vainly firing two torpedoes. Finally tho Italian suddenly reversed and plunged the torpedo into her adversary's vitals."
