NEW ROMAN CATHOLIC PRESBYTERY

The new Roman Catholic Presbytery at Methven was opened and solemnly blessed by Archbishop Redwood in the presence of many clergy and . a very large attendance of the public this afternoon. The day was fine, and a special train from Rakaia took a largo number to Metliven, while many went by road from Ashburton and other parts of the country. His Glrace, who also preached at Solemn High Mass, which was celebrated at .Methven; Town Hall in the morning, congratulated the Rev. J. A. Kennedy, D.D., and the parishioners on the progress of the churoh in the district.
