OTAGO QUEEN CARNIVAL

The combined Carnival bringing tlie Otago Queen Camival to a close was opened in. the {Drill Hall, Kensington, this afternoon in the .presence of a very largo gathering.' A very fine display,, was.made, and it is anticipated that: a large sum in aid of the Wounded Sol-' diers' Fund. will result. The Carnival ■will run till the end of next week, but the Queen competition will close on Wednesday. •
