SATURDAY'S GAMES. Hockey championship games were continued at Karori Park on Saturday. Details of the various games played are as follow:— Senior. After an interesting and evenly-con-tested cranio Karori defeated St. Augustine's by 4 goals to 2. - Heaphy (2), Stratton, and Pell scored for the winners, and Taylor and A. Webley for' the losers. United (6) easily overcame Wellington (1). Parfitt (3)-, Richards (2), and Atkinson scored for United and Waugh for the losers. An even, well-fought game between University and Insurance resulted in a win for the forhier' by 5 goals to 4. Foden (3), Cleghorn, and Jones scored for University, and M'Clintock, Strack, and Mushett for the losers. Junior. Karori A (6) overcame Wesley (2). Sunley (3), Low (2), and Adams scored for Karori, and Walklcy and Tiso for the losers. University A defeated St. 'Augustines by 4 goals to 2. Salek, Ewart,. and Hawkins registered goals for the winners. and Anderson and Gowan for the Petone team. United won by default from Karori B. Hutt Valley (6) had a victory over Wellington A (2), and B. Fraser, E. Smith, and R. and F. Lusty netted for the former, and Barr and Billows for the latter.
LADIES' TRIAL GAME*, The ladies' trial game for selecting a ladies' eleven for the coming hookey tournament resulted in "Whites" defeating "Colours" by 4 goals to 1. Misses Long (2) and Dobbyn (2) scored for the winners, and Miss Cathie for tho losers. 'Auckland matches. (By xliiexrupi •M.wwitinn.' Auckland. August 22.
